Seaview, Washington, is a quaint little beach town at the southernmost tip of Washington state. There’s a vintage resort there called Sou’wester Lodge that is Tara + Brandon’s favorite weekend getaway. The rain made us reschedule our original date, which was actually perfect. They let me know that they had booked a camper for a weekend up in Washington and asked if it would be okay to do their photos there!
Of course, I said yes! Planning your engagement session around something you and your partner love to do will forever be my number one suggestion for authentic photos.
As I said, Seaview is at the southernmost tip of the Washington Coast. It’s just across the bay from Astoria where Tara and Brandon got married this past spring. It’s a special little town that if you’re not planning on taking highway 1 up the coast – you’d honestly miss. Sou’wester is the same. It’s off the main strip and unless you head out that road to the beach you wouldn’t see it.
It’s a tiny lodge with vintage campers, suites, and cabins to rent that feels like you’re stepping back into the 60s/70s. Which honestly feels so authentic to Tara + Brandon.
We drank coffee and captured their love in the camper they had rented, and then ended on the beach. It was a picture-perfect PNW day out on the coast; gloomy + foggy.
I’d love to capture your story too, reach out here.
