ever since i was young, a camera's been attached to my hip, and in high school i took my first photography class. it was a 35mm black and white class where we got to develop our own film, i fell in love. it wasn't a surprise to anyone when i decided to go to college for fine arts in 2014. seven years later and i'm happy to say that i'm still just as passionate about making pictures as i was back then.

i've been an intimate wedding + elopement photographer full time for three years. it will forever blow my mind that i get to capture love for my job.

my photography focuses on the in-between, the soft touches, the unposed moments. i aim to capture your true love story so that it can live on forever.

i hope more than anything that i get to help tell your story + create memories that will last a lifetime. something you'll look back on for always.

capturing the little moments that help tell a love story is what led me to wedding photography but human connection is what has kept me in the wedding world for all these years.

WHAT ITS LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
LEARN WHAT THE EXPERIENCE IS LIKE

you're obsessed with a good cup of coffee (even if it's decaf).

you're in love with Spanish and European architecture

you love a good true crime podcast

you've seen every episode of One Tree Hill

you watch the Twilight movies on repeat

you'd be more than content eating Thai or Italian food every day

you love a good road trip

NYC is your happy place

film photography makes your heart happy

so does black and white photography

you used to spend your summers at Warped Tour and still scream all of that music at the  top of your lungs in your car.

we may be a perfect match if..

regardless of what that looks like to you. weddings where the focus is on why they are here. to focus on what they love about one another and their story + journey that brought them to that moment.

to be present with each other.

capturing the stories of the people that are celebrating their love because they want to, –not just because it's what you "do when you get married".

love stories that mean

WHAT I LOVE CAPTURING

the little moments mean the most. i believe in the parts of your story that often get overlooked. the hand on the lower back. the quick tuck of a loose hair behind the ear. the secret language of bodies in love. the way they look at you from across the room. i believe in the in-between + unposed moments blended with intentional photos to tell your personal love story. nothing overlooked. all the tiny details appreciated. purely you + yours captured.

capturing the unseen and unplanned for moments.

MY WHY

- matthew. my favorite person in the world. he's my number one supporter and travel buddy.

- i'm overly obsessed with b+w photos. i love the how they require you to focus on the moment .

- i love finding new coffee shops and antique stores more than anything.

- traveling fuels my soul. i've been to 49/50 states and will always choose to drive over fly.

- i have an uncanny love for the desert. plop me down in joshua tree, ca and i will be a happy girl.

- donuts are easily my favorite food group. Leave it to me to always fine the bomb donut shop in every town.

- i'm obsessed with the twilight series.

- oregon is 100% my favorite state (we spend half 30% of our year in southern Oregon!).

coffee & donuts, what more do you need?

my favorite things

In spring of 2017, I had just gotten back from my first road trip across the country. I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop near Cincinnati (that's sadly now closed) editing photos from my trip. This cutie came up and asked me if I took the photos and that he really liked them. I remember texting my bestie and telling her I had just met the man I was going to marry some day.

Little did I know that day, that he was in a band that was just in Cincinnati for a break on tour and he was actually from Nashville.

We became pretty much inseparable, doing long-distance for 3 years (with some month - long mixed in trips with me on tour with him and his band!), until in spring 2020 we were able to buy a house together in Nashville.

Now, two years later, we're engaged and building a life I could've only dreamt of.

core values

authenticity

Inspired by the elegant authenticity of film photography, my main goal is to preserve the integrity of your love story. Your love story deserves to be shown in a way that is true to you two, not a fictional version.

As a creative (and someone who spend 6 years in a fine arts college) it is incredibly important to me to give every couple a unique experience and gallery. Telling your love story in a creative, artistic, and authentic way will always be a priority for me.

I value the simple things through out love story: stolen glances, soft touch's, natural interactions. I will always be sure that nothing is missed. These simple moments help tell your love story in a way that is true to only you two.

As I've said multiple times, I make sure that your story is played out in the photographs because they're more than just photos-- they're portraits that will last a lifetime.

MY approach

i love – more than anything – getting to capture real love between two people.

which is why i throw out the awkward + stiff posing. i'm here to keep this real + true to you two. i like to keep you moving + let you interact with one another how you naturally would. your story will be told naturally if you are both relaxed. and that's my biggest focus–to always make you feel the most comfortable in front of my lens + to feel your genuine love throughout your entire gallery.

LEARN ABOUT MY APPROACH HERE

let's go wherever your love takes us

joshua tree, california

when i turned 20, i told myself i would visit all 50 states by the time i turned 25. I currently have one state left (who wants to go to alaska!?). what does that have to do with your photo session or elopement?

that means ya girl has been to some pretty rad locations and knows some pretty fantastic secret spots to take some seriously EPIC photos of you and your boo!

your story deserves to be told exactly how (& where) you want it. so whether what means on the coast of California, the desert in joshua tree, or the breathtaking overlook at yosemite – i'm here for you. I'll get you there. I'll capture your love in that place, wherever that place may be.

starting in 2023, i will be taking on an incredibly limited amount of destination weddings (west of the mississippi to prioritize spending time with my loved ones.)
