As a wedding photographer with a documentary approach, I believe that capturing the true essence of your wedding day requires more than just a few hours of coverage. That’s why, for weddings with bridal parties, I don’t offer packages under 9 hours. This ensures that you can be fully present and immerse yourself in every moment of your special day, while letting the day unfold naturally, without the stress of being pulled away constantly for posed shots.

Here’s why full-day coverage is essential for a genuine and stress-free wedding experience:

The Full Story Unfolds Over Time

Weddings are dynamic, evolving events where the most compelling moments often occur spontaneously and outside the confines of a strict timeline. From the quiet moments of anticipation during preparations to the lively celebrations on the dance floor, each part of the day contributes to your story. By committing to a minimum of 9 hours, I can capture the full spectrum of emotions, interactions, and details that make your wedding unique.

Enjoy Your Day Without the Constant Pose-and-Picture Cycle

One of the key advantages of longer wedding photography coverage is that it allows you to enjoy your wedding day without the constant interruptions for photos. With shorter packages, there’s often a rush to fit all the essential shots into a limited timeframe, which can lead to a feeling of being pulled away from the enjoyment of the day. By offering longer coverage, you and your guests can relax and immerse yourselves in the celebration, while I work discreetly to document the unfolding events. This approach minimizes disruption and allows you to fully savor every moment.

Flexibility and Authentic Moments

Weddings are inherently unpredictable, and some of the most authentic and memorable moments happen outside of a rigid schedule. Whether it’s a heartfelt conversation between loved ones or an unexpected burst of laughter, these unscripted instances are often the most meaningful. With longer coverage, I can remain flexible and responsive to the natural flow of your day, capturing these genuine interactions and ensuring that your photos reflect the true essence of your celebration.

Building a Comprehensive Visual Narrative

My photography style thrives on creating a cohesive narrative that captures the full scope of your wedding day. With longer coverage, there’s ample time to document not only the key moments but also the smaller, yet significant, details that contribute to the overall story. This comprehensive approach ensures that your wedding album will be a true reflection of the entire day, showcasing the atmosphere, emotions, and connections that made your celebration unique.

A Commitment to Your Experience

Ultimately, my goal as a documentary-based wedding photographer is to enhance your wedding experience, not detract from it. By offering packages of 9, 12, and 14 hours, I can prioritize your comfort and enjoyment, ensuring that the focus remains on celebrating your love and not on the constraints of a tight photography schedule. This commitment to providing ample time for capturing the day’s events aligns with my philosophy of delivering not just photos, but a meaningful visual story that you’ll cherish for years to come.

For the last 7 years, I’ve always offered 6 and 8 hour wedding photography packages. Within the last year specifically, almost every single wedding that has booked 8 hours, has ended up adding on one or two hours when we get to timeline planning. As we approach 2025 I am thrilled to offer my new packages of 9, 12, and 14 hours (I still offer an 8 hour option for weddings with no bridal parties, and I have smaller micro-wedding packages as well). These new packages are designed to give you even more flexibility and coverage, ensuring that every moment of your special day is captured with the depth and authenticity that a documentary approach demands.
