Washington DC has some of the country’s most amazing museums, so when Alyssa + Todd told me that their dream engagement session was in a museum I knew that traveling to them was the best option.

Alyssa and Todd decided to have a little staycation for the night and stayed at the gorgeous Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria. We decided to start their session off in the gorgeous lobby and around town before heading into downtown Washington DC .

After running around Alexandria, Alyssa + Todd changed their outfits and we went to The National Gallery of Art to finish out their engagement session. As someone with a bachelors degree in Fine Arts and a certificate in Art History – art galleries have such a special place in my heart. There’s so much history and amazing pieces of work in one place, and getting able to create my own pieces of art surrounded by it all was really really special.

We ran around The National Gallery of Art having a blast. Giggling over some of the paintings, whispering when in rooms filled with others, melting over the magical artcitecture and wall colors, and getting all the good (and bad lol) recommendations of photo locations from the security gaurds.

I cannot even being to explain how excited I am to capture their love on their wedding day this September.
