The Nashville area has so many amazing locations perfect for engagement photos. Regardless of if you’re looking for a more sleek, modern, city vibe or a calming nature vibe, there’s something for everyone. One of my absolute favorite locations downtown is easily the War Memorial Building. It’s sleek, and minimal with the neutral stone and granite, while also giving off a very luxurious feel.

It was a perfect feel for what Annabelle + Ryan wanted for their engagement session. With a casual luxurious feel with their outfit choices – they fit perfectly into the space. Doing their engagement session downtown Nashville was a perfect choice since they are saying “I do” downtown next February as well.

We had been obsessively refreshing the weather apps all day preparing for their shoot. We were watching the rain jump from 60% to 20% to 30%. Once it dropped down to 25% we decided we were going to go for it and despite a little bit of rain while we were walking up to the War Memorial Building, it turned out to be a GORGEOUS night.

One of my biggest suggestions to provide variety in your engagement photos is to switch up your outfit halfway through. While Ryan didn’t change, Annabelle did – which switched up the vibe of the session just enough. I always suggest one outfit that’s fancier and one that’s a tad more casual.
