Bells Bend is easily one of my favorite spots for golden hour sessions in the spring and fall in Nashville. Just 15 min from downtown, you feel like you’ve been transported out to eastern Tennessee. When Riley and Kyle said that they wanted to do something in nature and planned on setting up a picnic for their engagement photos, I was so excited when they decided on Bells Bend.
Bells Bend is located in between Nashville and Ashland City at the end of a road that ends in the river. It is is technically an outdoor center, with camping, and over 6 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails! The Center itself closes at 4pm, which usually leaves it pretty empty by sunset time! My favorite trail to shoot on faces west, with some baby mountains that the sun falls behind during sunset!
When Riley and Kyle reached out a few months back about their wedding this upcoming September, I was ECSTATIC. They are truly one of the sweetest couples ever and so incredibly talented. Riley is a musician here in Nashville as is Kyle (he even plays in her band!). 1000/10 suggest checking her out!
We started the session out with setting up their picnic. They read a little together, ate some snacks, played around with my Polaroid and drank some wine. Then, we ended the session with Kyle playing his guitar for Riley along the trails as the sunset – talk about perfect!
“It’s the way I dropped EVERYTHING the second I saw this email. I love these sooooooooo much, Bri! I’m obsessed. Thank you for capturing the essence of “us” so well.” – Riley
I’d love to be apart of your story, too. Reach out here and let’s see what we can create!
